Firm Profile

The Suher Law Office was established in 1995 as a client oriented firm, meaning the office prides itself in being accessible, friendly and cost effective while allowing each individual client to decide the best course of action upon being fully informed of the applicable law in his or her matter and all possible options and consequences. Further, the Suher Law Office is accessible to the entire Pittsburgh region by having office locations in Monroeville and the South Hills and willing to meet clients at other places of convenience. By being a small firm, each client works individually with the attorney on all matters associated with their case, as opposed to larger firms where clients either work with multiple attorneys and/or law clerks with the all too often consequence of never working with one individual who is fully informed of their particular case. In addition, by being a small firm and not strapped with the exorbitant costs of being located in downtown Pittsburgh, the Suher Law Office is able to be cost effective by providing payment plans if necessary to meet each individual client's circumstance. Finally, the Suher Law Office only practices in limited areas, which allows the firm to be fully competent in each of those areas. The areas of practice primarily include Family Law and Criminal Law in the counties of Allegheny, Westmoreland and Washington.

Property bought by a spouse after separating from the other spouse is generally not “marital property” as long as marital funds are not used to purchase the property.
